Biography

Evangeline Moonbird Norton (b. 1977), is more properly known as Her Imperial Majesty, Norton V, by the grace of God, Empress of these United States and Protector of Mexico. The great-great-granddaughter of Emperor Joshua Norton, she inherited a few things from him: his saber and insignia, a collection of his self-issued currency, his records, and his tendency to disregard social and political norms.

Those with the means to See can tell that she is *literally* marked by Chaos - by Eris, the Greek Goddess of Discord. It is not for no reason that Norton I is a Saint in the Religion of Discordians.

In her mid-40s, Evangeline looks deceptively young, as if she were in her early 20s. She has piercing, oddly green eyes and a nose of suitable royal dignity – quite aquiline. Her masses of tangled light brown curls could swallow a conventional crown whole. She is frequently seen with flowers or leaves tucked behind her ear or into the curls of her hair. She typically wears royal blue and gold, and usually affects multiple ragged-hemmed, voluminous skirts (the better to obscure her saber when she is carrying it.)
