Description
The seediest, most dangerous part of downtown San Francisco, the Tenderloin is known as a bad place to be after dark.
The Tenderloin's an enigma - some of the worst blocks in the City are literally down the street from City Hall, top-tier hotels, theaters, a law school, and police stations.
Of note, Glide UMC is located within the Tenderloin's area.
It encompasses about 50 square blocks, and is a large wedge/triangle in shape. It is bounded on the north by Geary Street, on the east by Mason Street, on the south by Market Street and McAllister Street, and on the west by Van Ness Avenue.
